Kelburn Productions

kelburn_iconSince 2007 Astrojazz has been providing music programming and promotion co-ordination at Kelburn Productions. Based at Kelburn Castle (the world-famous home of the Graffiti Project) near Largs on Scotland’s West Coast, we have built on early small intimate gigs and parties to now hold one of Scotland’s most notable boutique music festivals, The Garden Party. We have also developed a series of one-night, one-off parties, the Viewpoint Sessions, into infamous and sell-out club-music orientated events.

The Garden Party at Kelburn Castle sets itself apart from other small (and indeed larger) festivals through a unique vision and approach to programming. We focus on representing the cream of homegrown talent alongside hand-picked international class acts, and then programme the talent across a range of intimate stages, each with a vague but interchangeable “philosophy”. We also programme “pop-up” gigs and entirely acoustic performances in outlying parts of the festival site – the glen and gardens that surroud Kelburn Castle. In 2012 we hope to install an interactive “multi-arts trail” as part of the festival, that leads off into the forest glen and is packed with audio-visual stimuli for adults and children alike.

Previous acts booked for Kelburn Production include: Bonobo, Quantic, Sons & Daughters, The Bays, Tom Middleton, Hidden Orchestra, James Yorkston, Mungo’s Hi-Fi, Belleruche, Martyn, The Aliens, FOUND, JD Twitch, Jackmaster, Crazy P, DJ Vadim & The Electric. In 2011, we hosted 120 acts across 5 events.
