Ultimately Astrojazz is all about supporting good music. When not working out of the office, I spread the Astrojazz gospel through my alter-ego DJ Astroboy. Having blown a student loan in 1997 to bag a pair of Technics 1210s DJ Astroboy has been spinning records of all kinds ever since. From dancefloor jazz and traditional global music through, funk, soul, hip-hop and dub to the cutting-edge electronic sounds of dubstep, garage and house, the sound of DJ Astroboy is diverse yet tight, and designed to move dancefloors of all kinds to a unique blend of music from across continents and ages.

DJ Astroboy has played hundreds of shows over the years, from sweaty basements clubs to large festival tents, notable gigs including Gugulethu Township in Cape Town, a boat in the Adriatic, a jazz club in Finland, Arcadia at Glastonbury, and all over the UK at some point. He is resident DJ at a number of venues and clubnights, as well as the phenomenal Electrikal Soundsystem. He has supported a huge range of artists, like Gilles Peterson, Mr Scruff, Candi Staton, Guru & Jazzmatazz, Bonobo, Roy Ayers, Quantic Soul Orchestra, Antibalas…the list goes on and on.
